One of the world’s greatest scientists and a personal idol of Maddy (Naomi Scott), the veddy British Dr. Kenneth Horton, returns after a long expedition outside the gates of Terra Nova. Getting a hero’s greeting, Horton takes young Maddy under his wing and she begins identifying rock and plant species he has brought back to the compound.
But it is not long before the inquisitive daughter of a Chi-town detective begins to discover proof that Horton is not who he claims to be.
An exciting bit of science, a kidnapping and some covert messaging ensue.
Meanwhile, Josh’s (Landon Liboiron) promise to Sixers leader Mira (Christine Adams) last week in exchange for bringing his girlfriend from 2149 to Terra Nova is called in; there is disease among the Sixers and the medicine Azimeth is needed. To get it, though, Josh must replicate his mother’s ID badge and steal from the doctor’s very infirmary.
In one of the most botched and messiest burglaries in history (or pre-history), Josh gets the Azimeth but not easily. When he finds out the suffering of others without the Azimeth, he confesses to his parents. Jim (Jason O’Mara) goes to barkeep Boylan (Damien Garvey) who made the arrangements with Mira for Josh and then to Commander Taylor (Stephen Lang) who reveals the answer to this extension of Sixer tech may indeed be his missing son, Lucas, who is a genius.
